JASIKAN: Assembly trains girls in ICT

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Jasikan, Lawrence Kwami Aziale who also doubles as the parliamentary candidate for Buem constituency has opened a training program for some selected girls across the district that is currently undergoing Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Mr. Aziale interacted with the students and encouraged them to take their studies seriously in order to adequately prepare for the upcoming inter-district, regional, and national competition respectively. He added that the main purpose of the training is to encourage the youth, especially young girls to take up a career in ICT.

He indicated that the ongoing ICT training is the first of its kind in the district and that he has practiced the field as a lecturer for 18 years.

The District Director of Education Madam Sarah Adibrosu joined the Eastern /Volta/Oti Zonal coordinator of Ghana Investment fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) Mr. Edmond Nyarko and some members of staff.
