Prez visits Dormaa Ahenkro sports complex

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing construction of an ultra-modern multipurpose Youth and Sports Resource centre of Excellence at Dormaa Ahenkro municipality in the Bono region during his two-day.

During the inspection to the facility the President was impressed at the rate of work done on the five thousand seater- capacity edifice, which will help unearth the massive talents in the region and also nurture them for local and international tournaments.

The Sport Minister, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, commended the President for his vision and the intervention at the call from the sporting fraternity by providing the state-of- the-art facilities across the nation.

The FIFA standard-sized pitch which has an eight-lane Olympic-standard athletics track, basketball, volleyball, tennis courts, ICT centre, entrepreneurship/ counseling centers, washrooms, modern restaurants, hotel facilities and many more, is expected to be ready by 2020.
