Police receive intensive training on motorbike and high risk operations
A two- week intensive training programme on Motorbike and High Risk Operations course for Fifty Five (55) personnel drawn from the Bawku, Bolgatanga Navarongo divisions and Regional Special Weapons and Tactics as well as Regional Visibility at the Police Public Safety Training school (PPSTS) at Pwalugu in the Upper East Region has been completed.

Personnel were taken through courses such as riding skills and maneuvering in a built- up area, firing in motion as well as effective firing, riding and advancing to a target among others.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Upper East Regional Police Commander DCOP, Dr Sayibu Pabi Gariba, commended the trainers and trainees for their dedication and commitment to the training adding that they should deliver on their mandate ahead with the knowledge acquired.


He urged personnel to be more resolute to ensure that crime was combated in the regions.

He was assured of the Police Administration's resolve to provide the enhanced visibility patrol with the needed logistics and therefore assured them of supply of the same in the shortest possible time.


The trainees demonstrated skills acquired during the training to the regional commander in the areas of riding and maneuvering in a built-up area, firing in motion and advancing to a target area.
