DCE assures Twapease, othercommunity of massive dev’t
The District Chief Executive for TwifoAttiMorkwa, Robert AgyemangNyantakyi has assured the people of Twapiase, Osenegya and Subreso communities of massive development.

He gave the assurance at the 2nd quarter town hall meeting organized by the Media Foundation for West Africa and Arise FM in collaboration with the TwifoAtti Morkwa District Assembly on Thursday May 2, 2019 at Twifo Twapease.

Speaking on Agriculture, he said as the main occupation of the indigenes is farming, most of the practices introduced had really improved the sector. He cited practices such as hand pollination, pruning and mass spraying. He made known that the district now owns over One Thousand (1,000) mass spraying machines and thanked farmers for their massive involvement in the governments’ planting for food and jobs policy, which eradicated the importation of maize into the country.

On cocoa seedlings given to farmers for free, he said as compared to last year where the District distributed over 600, 000 cocoa seedlings, this year, there will be over 1million free cocoa seedlings and over 50, 000 palm seedlings.

The DCE significantly mentioned that telecommunications pole had been enacted to resolve the communications gap via mobile phones. He said that instead of people having to travel miles to deliver a message or communicate, providing a Telco’s network was very much appropriate as many of the town’s people already had mobile phones.

The DCE said the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Abraham Dwuma Odoom had fought for CHPS compound for three (3) electoral areas in his constituency, which included; Subirisu, Osenegya and Twapiase. One of which was commissioned in Osenegya on the 62nd Independence Day, 6th March, 2019 and work has already began.

He said this establishment would cater for the health needs of the people when completed and the people would not need to travel to another town for healthcare. Gracing the occasion was the Member of Parliament for TwifoAtti Morkwa, Hon. Abraham Dwumah Odoom.
