Water, electricity to be connected to Wonkoso teachers’ quarters soon

The Assin South District Assembly would not only focus on students as it strives to improve the fortunes of education in the district.

Also in their plans is the welfare of teachers especially with accommodation challenges. The Assembly has been doing its bit in providing teachers with accommodation at various communities.

At Wonkoso, the Assembly hasjust completed a semi-detached teachers’ accommodation which is awaiting the extention of electricity and water to make the facility ready for occupation.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive, Felicia Ntiakwah Amissah said it is their commitment to provide enough residential places for teachers in the district to help reduce their struggle for accommodation and to also ensure that techers feel comfortable statying in the district to impact knowledge when they are posted to the area.

With enough space still available, the MCE said they are hoping to add more accommodation in the near future to accommodate more of the teachers.
