ADAKLU: DCE Commission’s new fire station

A new fire station to aid the fight against fire outbreaks, has been commissioned for the people of Adaklu in the Volta region.

Speaking at the commissioning, District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr. Kadey Phanuel Donkor commended the government for providing them with the fire station.

He said the facility forms part of government’s attempt to help equip personnel of the service to enable them respond immediately to accident scenes, and also reduce the risks they face in the discharge of their duty.

He added that emergencies can strike anyone at anytime; hence it is crucial for emergency vehicles to reach the scene as early as possible to help save lives and property.

He also advised personnel to attach professionalism to their line of duty and further urged them to extend helping hand to everybody who needed their service.

Other high profile personalities who graced the event include, Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr. Kwame Agbodza, Municipal Chief Executive of Ho, Mr.Nelson Akorli (who represented the volta Regional Minister), Chiefs and Queen mothers of the community.
