SA High Commissioner visits Akuapem North

The South Africa’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Thapelo Maduman and some investors from South Africa has paid a visit to the Akuapem North Municipality.

The High Commissioner was received by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr Dennis Aboagye, who took the team round the Kwamoso State Lands to assess its suitability for an upcoming industrial project.

The team again took a quick tour of Akro Farms, which is expected to be the biggest and fully automated Meat Production Factory in Ghana.

The Factory is currently about 96% complete and ready to receive its first set of Birds this weekend.

Speaking during the tour, the MCE said that Akuapem North municipality has over the past two years attracted several investors and as a result led to the commencement of three major factories in the area.

He seized the opportunity to woo other potential investors in the area, adding that this create the necessary environment to provide jobs for the people.
