Adaklu District sets to distribute cashew seedlings to farmers

The Adaklu District Assembly under the government’s flagship program, Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) has nursed 60, 000 cashew seedlings to be distributed to farmers for this year farming season.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. Phanuel Donkor Kadey in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said the reason for the initiative is to improve on the welfare and the standard of living of the people through Agriculture.

He called for the Youth, opinion leaders, Assembly members to get involved and also thanked the NABCO personnel under Feed Ghana for their contribution.

Mr. Kadey therefore urged farmers in the district to take cashew farming serious as the government is poised to support cashew production in the District.
