Seventy frontline health workers in Yendi honored
The president Nana Addo Akuffo Addo has honored about seventy (70) health workers across some six districts in the Eastern Corridor of Northern region for their critical roles during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Presenting the awards on behalf of the president at a ceremony at the Yendi Senior High School’s Assembly Hall, the Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Shani Alhassan Sayibu congratulated the workers for the awards and explained the importance of such awards to the awardees.

He thanked the health workers for their continuous role in keeping the region healthy and strong and admonished them to be friendly to their clients in order to make them feel safe under their care.

He assured them of the government's efforts to provide the needed infrastructure and equipment to make their work conducive to work in.

The regional director of health Dr. Braimah Abubakari thanked the president for recognizing the efforts of the workers and assured the minister of their commitment to work to provide quality health care in the region.

About seventy health workers from Yendi municipality, Tatale Sanguli District, Kpandai district, Nanumba North , Nanumba south district and Saboba districts were awarded for their various roles in fighting the Coronavirus Pandemic.
