TALENSI: Assembly construct more desks for schools

The Talensi District is looking forward to constructing additional 500 metal dual desks for distribution to schools in the district.

This follows an earlier 600 of the metallic dual desks that have so far been procured and given out to school, a development that has indeed helped most of the schools.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, the district Chief Executive for the area, Christopher Boatbil Sormifeyema noted that they have made major strides in the education sector since assuming office, and the situation is now looking better.

According to him, it is not healthy and doesn’t support the quest for improved standard of education in the area if majority of pupils either lie on their belly or sit on the floor in class to study, hence their focus to pump resources to address the inadequacies.

He is confident they would be able to achieve a lot to bring comfort to students to give them reason to stay in school and take their education seriously.
