“Amansie West District is relatively peaceful and Calm” – DCE

Security in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region is relatively peaceful and Calm, the District Chief Executive of the area, Nii Larteh Ollenu, has stated.

The DCE made this known During the Assembly’s first Ordinary Meeting of the 8th Session of the Amansie West District Assembly held at the District Assembly Hall.

Mr. Ollenu also made known his commitment to help sustain the current peaceful atmosphere in the District in order to achieve the much needed socio-economic development that the people so much desire.

He revealed that the security have not recorded any major incidence of armed robbery or violent behaviors in the District, even though there were few misunderstandings between some few people and the Pakyi II Chief which has been resolved at the Regional Security Council REGSEC level.

He added that the security services have been up to the task despite working with insufficient logistics.

They have provided professional and technical advice to District Security Council DISEC which largely contributed to the maintenance of the law in the District.

This, he noted, will help stop petty crimes in the communities, and also added that the security of every country is a shared responsibility of every citizen and therefore urged all to play a role in ensuring our safety.
