Ahafo Ano North reward gallant farmers

The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly has honored farmers for their tremendous work in Agri-business at the 37th farmers’ Day celebration organized by the Assembly at Betiako M/A School Park in Ashanti Region.

Addressing the celebrants, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mrs. Martina Appiah-Nyantakyi, highlighted the need to support farmers to grow more crops that would ensure food safety, security and quality production in the country.

She indicated that the government has supported farmers in the Planting for Food and Jobs, Rearing for Food and Jobs, Agriculture Mechanization module and 1D1F program and pledged the Assembly’s continued support to farmers to ensure food quality, security and safety in the municipality.

The overall Best Farmer Mr. Okyere from Boagyaa No. 1 was given a Brand new Tricycle and other Farm inputs.

In Attendance were Mr. Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh Director General NADMO, Mr. Sulemane Adamu Sanid Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Augustine Peprah Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Daniel Agyare Municipal Agric Director, Heads of Departments and Units of the Assembly, Nananom.
