BINDURI: DCE distributes fertilizers to PWDs

The District Chief Executive for Binduri, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu has distributed fertilizers to people with disabilities in the district.

The DCE flagged off the distribution of fertilizer to people with disabilities in Binduri. This, no doubt is to promote agriculture activities and enhance greater output.

Mr. Yakubu who believes in the agricultural potential of the people while assuming office since 3 years ago, expressed the readiness of his administration to be committed to agriculture.

The distribution the DCE explained passed a statutory procedure with the sole aim of ensuring that registered disables have access to fertilizer.

He added that his office will not be happy with any beneficiary who will exhibit these fertilizers for sale.

He urged them to always remember the good policies of the President and vote for him and Hon. Abdulai Abanga as MP for better Binduri.

The Fertilizer worth Thirty-four thousands Ghana cedis (Gh¢34,000) and it was distributed among 118 people with disabilities comprising 61 males and 57 females.

Mr. Musah, the disabled leader in the District appreciated the DCE for facilitating the distribution and urged the beneficiaries to use the fertilizer for the purpose it was meant.

It is incontestable that, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a negative impact on the world and the forecast by some think-tanks is that, there may be an impending hunger to be faced globally at the post-pandemic era, hence the need to aggressively embrace agriculture.

The distribution of the fertilizer started on Friday, 10th July 2020 and it continued today, 13th July 2020 at the District Assembly headquarters.
