Dormaa East DCE presents 835 desks to schools
The Dormaa East District Assembly, (DEDA) has presented 835 dual desks to the Educational Directorate of the Assembly for onward distribution to 26 schools under its jurisdiction to improve convenience and effective teaching and learning.

Handing over the desk to the directorate in the Assembly's office at wamfie, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Dormaa East District, Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, said that there was the need to equip schools with adequate infrastructure and logistics in order to complement government’s efforts in making education accessible to all.

"There is strong evidence that high-quality infrastructure facilitates better instruction, improves student outcomes, and reduces dropout rates, among other benefits. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government has heavily invested in education infrastructure for the last 7 years, through the free Senior High School (SHS) flagship policy, and it is incumbent on us at the Dormaa East District Assembly to compliment the government efforts and enhance education by supplying adequate desk for a smooth and comfortable classroom learning for these future servants of our country" Kofi Agyeman said.

He indicated that, as professionals in the educational sector, it was very important that they understand the professional ethics in their field in order for them to succeed and impact positively in the lives of students.
“it is against the code of ethics to come to work drunk; and also for a teacher to get into a sexual relationship with a student, we won't tolerate that in Dormaa East District”, he noted.

He added that there were many professional conducts one must follow to excel as a professional. This he said, they need to know the code of ethics of their profession and it should be their guide at all times.”, he stated.

He further charged the beneficiary schools to develop a good maintenance culture by ensuring that the dual desks were well maintained for it to benefit future generations adding that the Dormaa East District Assembly would play their part by providing assistance in that regard.
