The community once suffered the deadly disease in the early 90s but could witness a replica of the disease due to filthy water bodies around them.

An unfriendly and a stagnant water body around the Dondoli-VRA road could provide an avenue for transmission of any water-borne disease with filth fecal matter taking centre stage around the community.

A look at the water body from afar reveals a prolific environment for disease causing organism especially when you realize it is less 200m from some houses in the community.

The pungent and choking smell that welcomes you to the water body is enough for one to fear the people of the community.

Aside the likelihood of a disease outbreak, the closeness of the water could as well lead to another flood if allowed to stay for a while.

The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the upper west region can take the matter up and try to avert any further danger resulting from the water body.
