Nyong Technical Institute in Karaga to get modern workshop

Work has commenced on the construction of a modern workshop block at Nyong Technical Institute in the Karaga District of the Northern Region.

The edifice when completed will have five departments which will all be fully equipped as part of the project. Catering, carpentry, tailoring, electrical and welding departments separate administration block are also being built.

This came into light through the lobbying of Tullow Ghana by the Member of Parliament, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam.

The MP says last year he completed a 6 unit classroom block by Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC); dormitory block is also under construction by Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). He expressed his profound gratitude for all the support.

With the addition of the workshop block when completed, he is ready to commission the first Technical Institute in the Karaga Constituency next year and to admit the first batch of students.

‘’Again the Institute will serve my constituency and beyond through skills training to prepare the youth for gainful employment and for the transformation of our country.’’ He added.
