Mr. Amponsah, who was also the former Presiding Member of the assembly secured 37 votes representing 97.37% as against one against out of the 38 members present who were present and cast their vote. Seven members where however absent.

Not only was he grateful to the president for his appointment but also to the assembly members for endorsing his nominations.

He pledged to do his best to ensure the district gets its fair share of the national cake for the needed development.

He called for hard work among all assembly members and other stakeholders to help push the district to its desired status.
