East Gonja Assembly to construct a modern market for improved economic activities
A new site has been handed over by the East Gonja Municipal Assembly to Mawums Construction Limited for the construction of a modern market facility at the Salaga New Market.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Mohammed Tamimu, disclosed that two simultaneous demolishing exercises took place at the Salaga lorry station and Salaga new market to pave way for the construction respectively.
However, the contractor at the old lorry station has started work already while the one at the new market has just taken up the site.
When completed, the project will have a transport terminal, modern institutional toilet, and bath.
This will ensure the relocation of the Salaga lorry station and afford travelers the comfort of easing themselves and taking baths at the site.
The MCE urged the contractor to deliver a good job.
