Ghanaians must not lose their culture identity- Edu Director
The District Education Director for Twifo Atti Morkwa, Mr. Anthony Takyi has advised parents to take the culture education of their children serious and stop teaching them foreign culture.

He made this comment when He was delivering His speech at the 16thInter-School Festival of Arts and Culture for Basic Schools held at Twifo Praso B&C School Park. He said, parents have neglected their native language and are now using foreign language in the upbringing of their children which is a bad practice and should be stopped.

On the theme for the program, Culture Education; ‘A Tool for Promoting Patriotism and Socio Economic Transformation.’ he entreated students to take culture lessons serious as it is also means of showing patriotism.

This year’s program saw the thirteen schools(both primary and junior high) in the Praso circuit showcase their skills and talent in poetry recitals, drum language, drama, traditional dance, art exhibition and still life drawing.

The end of the competition saw Praso Methodist Primary School topping the awards in the Primary category as they won in still painting, poetry recitals, drum language, drama, and traditional dance with Praso R/C Primary winning in art exhibition.

The Junior High level saw Praso Model School winning poetry recital and still life drawing while Praso Anglican won in drum language.
Praso B/C also won in drama, Praso A and D won in traditional dance and Praso D/A winning the art exhibition.
