Adansi North District Inter- Party Dialogue Committee Re-activated
The Adansi North District Police Commander Superintendent Fii Ochil has cautioned people who have plans underway to snatch ballot boxes from polling stations during elections to abort their plans as he said the police would shoot to kill anybody caught in such act.

The Police Commander said this at the maiden Inter-Party Dialogue Committee meeting organised by the National Commission for Civil Education (NCCE) to engage stakeholders to ensuring peaceful elections before, during and after the 2020 General elections.

Supt. Ochil stressed that, the security services are poised to performing their duties without any interference from Traditional Authorities and or ‘Higher Powers’ and so the youth should not allow themselves to be used for creating electoral violence as, the Police would not temper mercy with justice.

He therefore entreated everyone to abide by the electoral rules in order to avoid being a victim.

The District Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Aidoo revealed that a total number of 31,890 voters are expected to cast their votes at 67 polling stations in the Adansi North District.

Mr. Aidoo cautioned that, no security personnel or party agents are allowed to touch or work with election materials except for the electoral commission officials.

He took the committee members through the voting process and assured them of the commissions’ readiness to conduct the upcoming election.
