New district hospital for Yilo Krobo

An eighty bed state-of-the-art hospital has been inaugurated in the Yilo Krobo municipality of the Eastern region.

The hospital, which is equipped with ultra-modern diagnostic machines, has several departments and units such as radiological investigation unit, cardiothoracic unit, Intensive Care Unit, PACU, surgical intensive care unit, obstetrics and neonatology.

The facility is in realization of the government’s promise to put up more of similar projects to help strengthen the country’s healthcare system and also bring quality healthcare to the door-step of the citizenry.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Eric Tetteh in his address called on health workers to exhibit a higher level of professionalism and show love and compassion to patients in the discharge of their duties.

She noted that the hospital would offer a highest standard of comprehensive health care delivery, adding that there was therefore the need for the people of Yilo Krobo to preserve and protect the facility for posterity.

Also present at the event was the Eastern regional minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong, the Director General for Ghana Health Service Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye and the Paramount Chief for the Yilo Krobo Traditional Area in collaboration with the Yilo Krobo Municipal health Directorate has officially inaugurated the Yilo Krobo Municipal Hospital.
