DCE commends district health directorate in covid-19 fight

The Offinso North District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr. David Kwasi Asare Boakye has commended the District health directorate for their remarkable performance in the past years especially in the fight against the novel Corona virus despite limited resources.

The DCE Speaking at the District Performance Review meeting held at Nkenkaasu indicated that he is impressed with the detailed presentations from the 8 health facilities across the Offinso North district in areas of OPD, malaria cases, mortality rate and general well-being of people.

He noted challenges facing some health facilities and revealed that the District has recorded about 80 positive cases with 78 recoveries and 2 deaths while awaiting test results of some 14 samples taken to the lab.

Mr. Kwesi Asare Boakye reiterated that the District COVID-19 Rapid Response Team has intensified campaigns to ensure strict adherence of safety protocols and also distributing thousands of free nose masks and hand sanitizers to the residents.
