MP for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai organises health walk
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region, Mr. Alfred Obeng-Boateng over the weekend organised a mega health walk through the principal streets of Bibiani.

The walk was aimed at keeping the constituents and the party members fit ahead of the 2024 general election, a campaign strategy to energizer, engaged and interact with party members.
The walk recorded massive turn-over of regional executives, constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, polling station executives, party faithful and constituents.

The mega walk which commenced from the forecourt of the MP's office at Degede, saw them through Estate, roundabout, Gyedi, Old Town and later converged at Roman Catholic Park for the various speeches.

The participants were clad in party colours and paraphernalia hints the principal streets of Bibiani with public address system and brass band amidst singing and dancing.

Speaking at the programme, Mr. Obeng-Boateng was thankful to the participants for their massive turn-out and encouraged the participants to cultivate the habit of regular exercise to ensure healthy lifestyle that will offer them a sound mind in a sound body.

According to him, being physically active can improve one's brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of diseases, strengthen bones and muscles, and improves one's ability to do everyday activities.

The Member of Parliament (MP) continued that "Breaking the Eight", mantra is not a mere rhetoric but a vision which would be accomplished.

Based on the massive turn-out the MP was confident that the Eight years mantra has already been broken in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency.

Mr. Alfred Obeng-Boateng attributed the recent economic hardship in the country to Covid-19 pandemic as well as Ukraine-Russia war as a major cause. He, however, assured Ghanaians to have faith in the NPP government, nothing that, government was putting measures in place to turn the economic woes around.

He opined that, despite the global economic challenges, the MP and the NPP government are working assiduously to improve the lots of the citizenry.

He highlighted some of his achievements as construction of 20- mechanised boreholes, educational understructure, Chips compound, payment of medical bills, financial support to brilliant students but needy and greener pastures programme.

Others in the pipeline included, Astro Turfs for Bibiani and Sefwi Bekwai, Construction of Pataboso-Nkwanta to Kumkumso road, Construction of Awaso town roads.

The rest are Construction of Hwenapori to Chene road, Tanoso to Sefwi Adupri road, market for Sefwi Wenchi, Dominebo No.2 and Asawinso 'A'

Mr. Paul Andoh, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai also urged the constituents to rally behind the NPP government to make Ghana a better place to live.

The party faithful who couldn't hide the joy over the immense contribution towards the development of the area express their gratitude to the MP and assured him of more votes come 2024 Parliamentary and Presidential elections to continue his good work.
