30 communities to be connected to national grid.
The Builsa North assembly has disclosed that 30 communities in the area have been approved by the ministry of energy for the conection of the national grid.

The DCE of the area, David Afoko said the assessment of the approved communities have been completed by the Volta River Authority (VRA) work will soon commence.

He indicated that 30 communities will be the first batch to be tackled under the rural electrification project and assured that the rest of the communities will be approved in the coming months.

Outlining the total number of approved communities, the DCE said Sandema had 12, Wiaga 8, Chuchuliga 6, Siniesi and Kadema had 4.

"When we took over, we realized that we had 78 communities that are not connected, so we took the numbers and sent them to the ministry of energy, and out of that 30 communities had been approved for the face one he added".

Mr. Afeko stressed on some developmental programs on road infrastructure, planting for food and jobs, water and sanitation, education, distribution of dual desks, and also sponsoring the training of three doctors who upon completion will support in improving health care delivery in the area.
