North Gonja Education Directorate receives furniture

District Chief Executive for the North Gonja District, Adam Eliasu has presented about three hundred (300) units of double-desk classroom furniture to the education directorate for onward distribution to needy schools

This brings to about three thousand, five hundred (3,500) units of classroom furniture in total procured under his tenure as DCE since 2017. In July, 2023 alone, the DCE made available 1,500 units for the same reasons.

For schools, this opens up opportunities to improve student engagement as school furniture is recognized as complementary learning equipment.

Physical Infrastructure by way of school blocks and in some instances support for staff accommodation in rural communities have also received a fair share of investment from the District Assembly

According to the DCE, he believes skills, values, habits, facilitating and acquiring knowledge can only be achieved through Education.

‘’Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels or acts may be considered Educational hence his desire to improve the sector to help shape the future of the District.’’ He stated.
