Mr Isaac Asiamah, the Member of Parliament for the area gave GHS 15,000 from his MPs common fund while the District Assembly also gave GHs 5,097 to the education Directorate to augment that of the MP.

The DCE mentioned that, the NPP government is making strides in the educational sector hence, since the assumption of office, there have never been shortage of educational materials nationwide. "The era of shortages of Text books, Chalks, Registers et Al are over", he mentioned.

Miss EsselCudjoe, the Director of Education Services, thanked the Assembly for the kind gesture. She posited that, this amount will go a long way to prepare the kids for the upcoming BECE exams as she expects her tenure to be more successful than previous years. She pleaded with the Member of Parliament, Hon. Isaac Asiamah to come to the aid of her office as she has no vehicle to carry out her supervisory duties. "My official vehicle has broken down", she stated in a dim voice.

Hon. BismarkObuobi promised to relay the information to the MP. He also advocated that, the District education officer must make supervisory duties prime in their daily activities. He bemoaned the truant activities of some teachers.
