La Nkwantanang Madina Assembly holds fun games
The Municipal Chief Executive for the La Nkwantanang Madina has expressed confidence that the staff of the various decentralized departments in the municipality would be able to strategies to serve their constituents better in the coming year.

The MCE, Jennifer Dede Adjabeng who was speaking at the staff fun games said it is meant to create unity and familiarity among staff of the decentralized departments and to ensure proper collaboration in addressing issues concerning the public.

She underscored that with staff strength of over 500, it is possible that some people may not be familiar with each other; hence a programme like this would be beneficial in achieving familiarity.
The MCE, Jennifer Dede Adjabeng commended the effective role technology played in preparations towards making the fun game a success and applauded the planning committee for such a spectacular job.

Meanwhile, the Head of Local Government Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur who was the Guest of honour applauded the MCE for the initiative saying it is one of a kind and he will adopt and implement it in the various assemblies.
He complimented the enthusiasm among the staff in promoting ‘’ Work - health balance’’. The teamwork in La Nkwantanang Madina encourages me to know that they’re doing well and also believe that this is a way to improve productivity’’. He stated.

He wished them well and urged them to always remain professionals as ever. Some of the participants shared their views on the initiativel: The municipal director for National Service, Mariam Tanoh with group six was so excited with their second win.
The team leader for group 4, Augustine Kwesi Ntim who is also the Head of Birth and Death was full of confidence about his team emerging victorious in the football competition and called for the game to be made an annual event.

Mr Dennis Amamu who is with the Social Welfare and Community Development Department praised the initiative and commended the spirit of togetherness exhibited by every individual present.


The AstroTurf at Madina Zongo where the event was organized came in handy and it is one of the first batches of AstroTurf completed by the government in its efforts to improve sports infrastructure in the various Assemblies.

The inter games ranged from Tug of Peace, Ampe, balloons games, Gyama competition, football, cooking, suck race amongst others.
