Six communities in Central Tongu sensitized
The Department of Gender in the Volta Region has held a monitoring and sensitization exercise with members of the Community Watch Committee from six (6) communities and community members of Mafi Tsawla within the Central Tongu District.

The exercise was supported by The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and focused on the progress of work by Community Watch committee Members of the various communities gathered as well as issues of responsible parenting, ending teenage pregnancy and child marriage in the District.
In attendance were Togbi Akliku Ahorney II, Chief of Mafi Dadoboe, the Regional Director of Department of Children, the Regional Director of Department of Gender and her staff, the Central Tongu District Director of NCCE, the District Public Health Nurse for the area the Assemblymen, the community Watching Committee members, teachers and students of Mafi Tsawla Junior High School and parents from the community.
