La Dade-Kotopon MCE gets 100% endorsement

Assembly Members of the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly have overwhelmingly confirmed the President’s nominee Mr. Solomon Niikoi Kotey for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position

He secured 15 out of the 15 total votes cast representing 100% in an exercise supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission.

Mr. Nii koi Kotey in his acceptance speech, thanked the President, the greater Accra Regional Minister and the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him to see to the growth and wellbeing of the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality and pledge his commitment to the development of the area.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey expressed his gratitude to the Assembly members for confirming the President's nominee and urged the MCE to put the necessary actions in place to advance the development of the municipality.

He then thanked the Member of Parliament for the area Rita Naa Odoley Sowah , and called on her the Assembly Members and the Staff of the Assembly to cooperate with the MCE for effective work ’’ the Assembly business is part of the local government structure and as much as possible we have to do it devoid of politics ”He said.

He added that the task ahead is not the sole responsibility of the MCE but an all-inclusive responsibility.
