14 PWDs receive support from District Assembly

About 14 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Ningo-Prampram District (NiPDA) have received support based on their request to ensuring their well-being.

The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. AL-Latiff Tetteh Amanor reminded that “Disability Is Not Inability”, adding that most persons with disability normally consider themselves as incapable which limits them.

“Your condition doesn’t mean your end has come”, he stressed.

“There are people with the same condition yet they have excelled in various fields of endeavor. It is just an accident that has occurred therefore proves to society that you are not limited due to your condition”, he added

Mr. Bernard Mart Yingura, the District Coordinating Director charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the items.

He mentioned that, it is their right to be supported by the government but their responsibility to make good use of the items.

The beneficiaries received bags of rice, maize, charcoal, cement in large quantities, plywood for a shop, bales of second-hand clothing, deep freezers, an industrial netting machine, mobile phones and electronic cash for call card vending among others.
