20 communities earmarked for mechanized boreholes
About 20 communities in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District in the Central Region have been earmarked to benefit from mechanized boreholes.

These communities according to the District Chief Executive, Robert Agyemang-Nyantakyi already have manpower boreholes constructed for them but would be mechanized especially places with electricity to minimize the problem of frequent breakdowns leading to high cost of maintenance.
He said it is the focus of the Assembly to continue to drill boreholes for communities still facing water challenges especially in the villages despite providing a lot of the communities with same.
The good news however is that with the district capital, the Ghana Water Company Limited supplies to the people leaving only few areas which are being supplied with boreholes including Ayiase and 34 Junction.
