A contract for the rehabilitation of the Awate Health Centre in the North Dayi District in the Volta Region has been signed by the district assembly.

The contract covers the entire infrastructure including the centre itself, and the nurses’ quarters to provide convenient accommodation for the personnel to make them available at all times to attend to patients.

North Dayi District Chief Executive, Stephen Komla Timinca speaking about the project also indicated that there would be addition of some new facilities among which include fencing of the entire premises, pavement of the entire clinic as well as construction of new pavilion for nursing mothers for their post natal visits to the facility.

The rest include construction of overhead tank to ensure regular availability of water at the facility.

Mr. Timinca also noted that the assembly has not lost focus on equipment as such efforts are beng made to address that aspect in the shortest possible time after the completion of rehabilitation works.
