BIA WEST:Regional Minister, DCE meet Ivorian counterparts

The Western Regional Minister, Ebenezer Kwadwo Teye Addo and District Chief Executives for Bia West Kwabena Tweneboa and Bia East, Kwame Ankrah have met with their Ivorian counter parts to discuss and strengthen bilateral relations between the two sides.

The Western Regional Minister, Ebenezer Kwadwo Teye Addo and District Chief Executives for Bia West Kwabena Tweneboa and Bia East, Kwame Ankrah have met with their Ivorian counter parts to discuss and strengthen bilateral relations between the two sides.

The Ivorian delegation comprised of Mr. Fabau Ouatarra, Niable Minister, Kouamme Yao, Ingenie Djuablin and 6 other District Chief Executives from Ivory Coast.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Kwabena Tweneboa, DCE for Bia West said since the two regions and districts share boundaries the leaders have decided to strategies to improve and guide the welfare of their countries and citizens.

He said their main focus is how to reduce cross-border crimes, smuggling, and promoting the welfare of their people.

Mr. Tweneboa also added that the two sides would also be discussing trade and other business opportunities as they look forward to harnessing their economic opportunities. He described the meeting as fruitful and looked forward to better cooperation, adding that they hope to emulate the cordial relations between the two countries at the national level.

Meanwhile, the two ministers had a closed door meeting where they discussed some important issues about the cooperation.
