Professor Raymond Asomani Boateng, a Ghanaian professor based in US has presented medical equipment worth $8,000 to the Bepong Community Clinic in the Eastern Region.

Professor Raymond Asomani Boateng, a Ghanaian professor based in US has presented medical equipment worth $8,000 to the Bepong Community Clinic in the Eastern Region.

The equipment included 10 blood pressure apparatus, 10 stethoscopes, two autoscopes and one wall mount blood pleasure apparatus.

Presenting the equipment, Professor Boateng said the donation was his personal contribution to the community where he hails from.

Ms Emelia Barnes, a nursing officer in-charge of the clinic, who received the items thanked Professor Boateng for the gesture and promised to put them into effective use to improve the health delivery system in the area.

Professor Boateng is also assisting the community to construct a three classroom block, office and a store estimated at GH¢50,000.

The Gyasehene of the town, Nana Osei Boakye I, commended Professor Boateng’s contribution towards the development of the community and urged others who come from the area to emulate his example.
