A new tourist attraction site known as a “Health Farm” is to be established at a place near the Tini Waterfalls at Adasawase in the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region.  It will add to the existing ones in the region to help make the area a hub of tourism.

The project is a collaborative effort of the Ghana Tourist Board, the Atiwa District Assembly, the Community and a Private Ghanaian investor.

The Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Tourists Board, Sampson Donkoh, who announced this said the Assembly has constructed about four point four kilometer feeder road for easy access to the site and is also constructing a Receptive Centre, which is expected to be completed soon.

According to Mr. Donkoh, the Health Farm will serve various purposes including recreation, physiotherapy, dieting, exercising and massaging.

He explained that people with problems such as stress, alcoholism and drug addiction can go there to be treated by experts like counselors, psychologists, medical practitioners and dieticians.

Mr. Donkoh said, the Ghana Tourist Board and other partners in the project will add facilities like Souvenirs and Gifts Shop and lodges to make the place attractive to tourists in order to yield more revenue.
