Gov’t assures of some corrective works on the Mamford Landing Beach project – DCE

District Chief Executive of Gomoa West, Bismarck Nkum has asked residents to remain hopeful that this government would put the Mamford Landing Beach project in the shape they envisaged it.

According to him, though the project has finally been built after about 60 years that the first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah promised the people, it only took the current government to actualize the project.

He said though the project fell short of the people’s expectations, they should remain hopeful that something would be done about it.

The DCE disclosed that he has had some engagements with the Transport Minister, and just last week, the Deputy Minister was there to access the situation; and they have been assured that there is going to be some corrective measures to put the project in the shape they always envisaged it.

For the past 60 years it was unfulfilled promise; and there was nobody to hold accountable; now it has seen the light of day and this same government would ensure that everything that is wrong with it is corrected, Mr. Nkum assured.
