BOSOME FREHO: President sacks Yaw Danso; nominates Kofi Adu Amoateng as new DCE
President Akufo-Addo has nominated Kofi Adu Amoateng as the new District Chief Executive of the Bosome Freho District.

His removal follows the official sacking of Mr. Yaw Danso, who was suspended in October 2022 after his alleged involvement in illegal mining (Galamsey).
The Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralisation, Dan Botwe, communicated the decision to the Ashanti Regional Minister on Friday stating that the action follows investigations into the allegations against Yaw Danso.
Meanwhile, the nominee would have to scale the approval process by a two-third majority of Assembly Members to secure the position.
