DCE donates school uniforms to Akatsi Girls Model School

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Akatsi South in the Volta Region Mr. Leonelson Adzidogah has presented 180 pieces of school uniforms to Akatsi Girls Model Junior High School.

Mr. Adzidogah at a ceremony to handover the uniforms, stressed on the need to educate the girl-child, adding that one of the government’s agenda for the education sector is to provide equal opportunities for the girl child in the country, and it is on that course that the government introduced the Free Senior High school policy, to help the poor afford education.

The DCE noted that there is an ongoing project which will be equipped with computers at Drakate and would enroll from kindergarten, primary, junior high school and senior high school by the Akatsi South District Assembly as he promised on October last year to build a permanent school for them.

In attendance were Akatsi South District GES Director, Mr Joseph Yogah Adovor, District Girls Education Officer, Mad Doris-Day Ayittah and GES PRO, Madam Esther Horgli.
