District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Seth Birikorang Ofosu, who disclosed this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com said, funds were allocated from the assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) to assist the students.

According to him, each student was supported with a whopping GHs 1,000 to help them pay their semester fees.

He pledged the assembly’s support for tertiary students in the area, adding that the NPP government remains resolute on its commitment to support both secondary and tertiary level students across the country.

The DCE added that, education was one of the assembly’s priority areas and for this reason, his readiness to do everything possible to augment government’s numerous interventions that are aimed at improving education in the area.

He therefore urged beneficiary students to take advantage of the offer and study hard to reciprocate the assembly’s kind gesture and further appealed that they return to the district after completing their studies.
