Wenchi Assembly holds EXECO Meeting

The Wenchi Municipal Assembly has held its 2023 First Quarter Executive Committee (EXECO) meeting.

The meeting was to among other purposes consider proposals and reports from Sub-Committees of the Assembly for onward presentation.

The meeting was also to deliberate on major policy issues put before the Executive Committee for approval and implementation. Considerations made herein on some of the issues shall be presented to the General Assembly for consideration, final approval and implementation.

All the Sub-Committees such as the Committee on; Works, Justice & Security, Finance & Administration (F & A), Social Services, Agriculture, Development Planning and Small Scale, presented their reports and recommendations on issues discussed in their earlier meetings for consideration.

The issues range from Trade & Commerce, Economic Development, Agriculture, Water & Sanitation, to Roads, Security, Health, Education, Infrastructural Projects and other human-centered development policy initiatives that would enhance the living standards of the people in the Municipality.

Addressing the Committee, the Chairman, Municipal Chief Executive Alexander Kwadwo Obour Damoah charged members to put Wenchi first for development over any other personal interest. He further urged members of the Committee to make all the necessary efforts in contributing their quota to the development of the Municipality.

He assured of maximum cooperation and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to develop the area.

Present at the meeting were Chairpersons/Conveners of the Sub-Committees and their respective Secretaries, selected Heads of Departments and Units, the Municipal Coordinating Director Douglas N.K Annoful the Executive Secretary of the Assembly.
