Chief justice visits to Offinso North historic - Offinso North DCE

A symbolic visit by the fourth most important personality in the country, Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Akuffo to the Offinso North District has been described as historic.

The Chief Justice as part of her Ashanti regional tour was in Akumadan to inspect the district court at Akumadan to ensure that the standards for courts operations are not compromised.

In his welcome address, the District Chief Executive for Offinso North, David Kwasi Asare in a satirical terms said "Your Ladyship, welcome to the home of tomatoes", adding that her coming was first in record history.

The DCE also announced that the existence of a district court in Akumadan had helped in reducing crime wave in the district, pledging his full support to the court at all times.

The Akumadanhene, Nana Akuamoah Boateng ll appealed to her ladyship Justice Sophia Akuffo to upgrade Akumadan District Court to circuit with more jurisdictional powers.

In her response, the Chief Justice said plans are far advanced to upgrade all district courts to the status of circuit courts in the country
