Assembly Member provides medical equipment, drugs for Kumbiehi CHPS Compound

Assembly Member for Kumbiehi Sawaba Banungoma in the Wa Municipality in the Upper West Region, Mr Rauf Saani has procured medical equipment and other supporting drugs for the Kumbiehi CHPS Compound.

The massive donations, described by his electorate as historic, have been valued at thousands of Ghana Cedi to cap his recent support to his Electoral Area.

Ranging from surgical knives to thermometers, surgery plasters to kidney dishes, the historic 49 different items were donated to the health facility to augment their daily work.

The items, which are both consumables and non-consumables, also include drugs, toiletries, laboratory equipment and other health based gadgets needed for modern day medication.

Jingsung Plus and Regional NADMO are the lead sponsors of the programme after some proactive moves by the Assembly Member.

The latest donation forms part of the major policies embarked on by the fast emerging leader within his electoral Area led by his infrastructural support programmes.

All items were presented by the Assembly Member to the Municipal Health Administrator to be handed over to the leadership of the healthy facility at a short ceremony in Kumbiehi.

Items presented included plasters, gauze, brush and scrubbing, galipot, scissors, thermometers, wash bottles, and various types of drugs.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com after the presentation, Mr. Rauf Saani said, “The wealth of any community lies in the health of that community and we are no exceptions to this. This is a project I have followed for a while now and thankfully I can go home happy knowing I have fulfilled that.

The list of items donated is a reflection of what we needed and can afford for now. As when we get more, we will donate in the Supreme interest of the community members.
