Mampong MP donates exercise books to District Education Directorate

Kwaku Ampratwum Sarpong, the Member of Parliament for Asante Mampong Constituency presented 12000 exercise books to the District Education Directorate for distribution to the five major secondary schools in the Asante Mampong District.

The beneficiaries include Amaniampong Senior High, St Monica’s Senior High, Kofiase Senior Technical, Odiko Boatemaa Senior High School and St Joseph Senior High.

Presenting the items on behalf of the MP, Mr. Isaac Kwame Owusu, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency financial secretary and chief of staff to the MP, said the donation forms part of the MP’s effort to contribute his quota to the provision of quality education to his people.

He emphasized that education is the bedrock of every developed country, hence the need for all efforts to support education. The MP stressed his commitment to support the improvement of teaching and learning in Mampong.

He emphasized that even in this era of coronavirus, where things are in a dilemma, education still remains key to the development of this constituency.

Receiving the items on behalf of the district education directorate, Mr. Gabriel Antwi, the Mampong Education Director, thanked the MP for the gesture and assured that the items would be distributed equally among the schools once school reopened after the COVID - 19 pandemic is over.
