The District Chief Executive, Emmanuel Kojo Nanah introducing the Deputy Minister to the gathering described him as one of the few experienced politicians on the land having really gone thru the mill from assemblyman to DCE, through to MCE, member of Parliament to a deputy minister and yet still very humble.

Touching on some of the problem confronting the area, the DCE complained of the state of roads in the district especially the Cape Coast - Twifo Praso road which passes through the Kakum National Park, which is currently in a very bad state that tourists to the park are declining in number.

On health, the DCE stated that they scored high marks in infant and maternal mortality having recorded zero deaths in both infant and mother mortality for the past 3 years.

Teenage pregnancy which the district topped 2 years ago is also steadily declining.

The Deputy Minister on his part commended the district achieving such impressive records, and also their punctuality and achievements in financial discipline, health and education.

He was however not too happy with their performance in agriculture, and advised them to put their acts together before his next visit in 2 months.
