The durbar sought to introduce the New Municipal Coordinating Director, discuss staff appraisal, punctuality to work, work ethics, and staff welfare among others.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Assembly, Comfort Asante in an address welcomed everyone and said it is her privilege to have such gathering which enables Management to interact with staff. She stressed that it was mandatory for the Assembly to hold such durbars quarterly to help in the assessment of FOAT.

The MCE explained that the gathering was to help management know the success and challenges of staff. Madam Comfort Asante urged staff to be committed to their jobs and discharge their duties diligently.

She informed the meeting that, the former MCD, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako Brobbey has been posted to the Ashanti Region and that Mr. Hayford Kyere had taken over from him.

She pleaded that staff accord the same respect they gave the former Director and also keep the spirit of working as a team up.

In response, the Coordinating Director, Mr. Hayford Kyere thanked the MCE and her staff for such a warm welcome. He said that he has been impressed with attendance and punctuality with staff so far and urged them to do more.

The MCD asked staff to desist from loitering around during working hours and pleaded with them to rather work hard in order to pass their FOAT assessment this year because the Assembly cannot afford to lose such money due to one’s negligence.

Staff was reminded of their job ethics such as diligence, discipline, transparency and working within time frame to meet targets set. The Staff had the opportunity to ask questions and made suggestions which Management addressed accordingly.
