DCE appeals for peace, and unity in Tain District

The Tain District Chief Executive, Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh has called on the people of Tain and its environs to reconcile with each other and live in peace and unity to ensure sustainable development in the district.

This, she noted, was the only solution that could accelerate development in the area.

The DCE made the call at the parade of school children and other interest groups to mark the 62nd Anniversary Celebration of the country’s independence under the theme ‘ Celebrating Peace and Unity” at Nsawkaw, in the Tain district of the Brong Ahafo region.

The DCE therefore, call on Nananom, opinion leaders and all stakeholders to forget about their past and open a new chapter to ensure development in the area, saying nobody will come and develop Tain for us, we have to develop it ourselves.

She said conflicts impede the socio-economic development of the district since investors do not know who has the final authority in concessionary, adding “I hope today’s theme: celebrating peace and unity will pave the way for us to settle all our differences”.

Peace and unity she, noted provide a stable environment for development to thrive and however urged all stakeholders to put aside their religious and political affiliations and champion the course to accelerate development in the area.
