DCE donates to eight youth
The Twifo Atti Morkwa District Assembly has through the Rural Enterprise Project donated tools and equipment to eight youth who are considered less privileged but have learnt various forms of trade to help startup their own businesses.

The equipment, which was presented to them during this year’s independence parade at Twifo Praso A&D School Park, was also aimed at relieving them of their current financial constrains and bettering their livelihood.

Delivering his speech before the presentation, District Chief Executive of the area, Mr Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi said the NPP-government through the Rural Enterprise Project is helping the youth establish themselves in order to be able to do something on their own.

He said, the government has the welfare of the Ghanaian youth at heart but advised them to be hard working.

The beneficiaries, Eric Gyasi, Patrick Marfo and Kofi Nyamehene received one wheelbarrow, 2 head pans, 2 shovels, spirit level and a pick axe.Mr Godwin Donkor, a carpenter, received a set carpentry.

Three compressor machines were given to Yaw Aseidu, Edward Sam, ObedBentil while, Ben Siame, an Auto Electrician was also equipped.

The recipients, on their part, expressed their gratitude to the President and the Assembly for the gesture and promise to work hard and make good use of the tools.
