Ejura Assembly, NADMO donate to Ejura Settlement Prisons
The Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly together with National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO presented some relief items to the officers and inmates of the Ejura Settlement Prison on Thursday, 28th February, 2018.

The presentation was done by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Alhaji Mohammed Adam Baba and the Municipal NADMO Coordinator, Razak Salifu and some staff of the Assembly and NADMO.

On behalf of the Hon. MCE, the MCD applauded the Prisons Officers for been able to control the inmates even though they were not confined in a walled and gated compound.

He stated that Management and the Assembly was aware of the challenges the officers and inmates are facing and informed them that the Assembly is considering ways to raise funds to support the prison.



The NADMO Coordinator in his address admitted to the awareness of the situation of the settlement prison and so his outfit had to appeal to their Regional bosses to request for support to the prison.

He then commended the Commander of Prison for the various activities and exercises they undertake towards ensuring the wellbeing of the Municipality. He expressed his gratitude for the participation of the inmates in the sanitation exercise that took place recently especially in distilling the gutters.



Some items donated to the prisoners include blankets, buckets, mosquito nets, food items, mats, cups, bowls and among others.
The prison officer, DSP Dickson Owusu Amoah expressed his gratitude to the Assembly and NADMO for their kind gesture and appealed for more support to the prison.

Collins Amoah, an inmate on behalf of the prisoners exhibited much gratitude towards the presentation and prayed for more support from the Assembly when needed.
