Kintampo: Misunderstanding between Fulanis and farmers to be addressed
In the quest to reduce the misunderstanding and killing between Fulanis, Cattles owners, and the Communities in our country, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, National Security and the Government of Ghana have come out to address the nationwide problem.

On the 14th of October 2020 a group of researchers lead by Prof. Naaminong Karbo was in the Kintampo North Municipality to ascertain conditions around the communities in the municipality to see how the municipality can benefit from this important project of the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the country.

According to Prof. Karbo, hundred thousand hurters of land (100,000) have been allocated in the Dawadawa community in the Kintampo North Municipality to be used as Cattle grazing land.


According to Mr. Karbo, the communities within which the land is located was sampled, and all the necessary details have been gathered to have the report for the President to carry out the project within no time in a meeting held at the Kintampo North Municipal Assembly Hall were stakeholders were met on a briefed.

Dr. Nathaniel Yeboah, one of the team members did a power point presentation on the over view of how the project will look like.

He stated that it will consist of a razing land for the Cattles that would be permanently located, entry point from Bouipe towards the northern part of the municipality, entry point from Newlongoro and an exit point from BabatorKumah for those that are moving out of the municipality.


The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Municipality Mr. Michael Sarkodie was very glad for all this important project, and said “if not for anything but it will solve the conflict crisis between fulanis herdsmen and the communities for that has always been the major problem confronting residents”.

He also stated that the project will again give jobs to the community and to the good people of Kintampo as a whole because all cattle’s would be at a vantage point which the animals will always need food and care, some people will be engage to work and at the entry and excite point for other Cattle’s passing through the municipal to other pleases people will be employ (labor) would be needed to be in-change of that.

All stakeholders were present at the short meeting.
