250 kindergarten pupils in Tain receive slates

About Two Hundred and Fifty Kindergarten (KG)1 and 2 pupils from three basic schools in the Tain district of the Brong Ahafo region has received free slates from the District Chief Executive, Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh to enhance teaching and learning at the KG level in the district.

The beneficiary schools were Nsawkaw Presbyterian, Namasa D/A and Brohani D/A.

This was in fulfillment of promise made by the DCE to supply them with slates upon realizing that the various KG schools were not having slates at her visit to the schools during My First Day at School to interact with new entrants in the various schools last September.

The DCE expressed regret about how some parents shirked their responsibility and allowed their children to go wayward, saying such negative practices caused some children to engage social vices.

She assured the authorities of the Nsawkaw Presbyterian School Basic School of the Assembly’s preparedness to re-package and complete the construction of a Kindergarten block for the school to enhance teaching and learning.

The District Director of education, Mr. Godfred Mark Domah urged the teachers to embrace any little efforts that comes in support of the school and to make good use of them to strengthen the KG system in the district.
